Hannah is a bartender with over 12 years working in the service industry, along with a recent graduate of DePaul University’s Women’s and Gender Studies Master’s program. She has been working as an intern with Survivors Know since May of 2022. During this time, Hannah wrote her master’s thesis on neoliberalism and globalization and their effects on the service industry in Chicago during the COVID-19 pandemic, taking a lot of her inspiration from the things that she has learned here at Survivors Know. Hannah spoke at the 2022 National Women’s Studies Association conference on topics related to the work being done at SK and plans to continue her work in non profits, while also exploring a career in teaching at a collegiate level. Hannah lives in Chicago with her cat, Winnie, and in her down time she enjoys weight lifting and tending to her house plants.
